Momocho: Experience Modern Mexican Flavors in Cleveland

I had the opportunity to eat at this establishment Wednesday night 02/04. I was totally satisfied. The Margarita flight was excellent. There were 4 of us at the table. We had house made chips and salsa flight with guacamole on the side all including the chips were great. I had a pork bowl with a fried egg on top ( sorry don't remember what it was called ) but it was excellent as well. Our server couldn't have been anymore attentive. Then there was Dan that kept or water filled and empty plates and glasses cleared that was a total pleasure. He should get employees of the year. My son and daughter in law was the other couple. They live near by. They are going back Friday with other's. I can't wait to go back. PS. So many brands and flowers of Tequila. Yum.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The entire staff was so kind and seemed to truly enjoy working there. The food was amazing, full stop. Just stop thinking about visiting and go. The owner took time on a busy Saturday night to stop by each table and make sure everything was great, answer questions and even provide recommendations. It’s going to be hard to want to eat anywhere else whenever we are in the area. Thank you so much for making our night.

Food was great, we all know that already but I wanna highlight something that was so impressive it could not go unpraised. I have a serious allergy to a food that is in a lot of their products (I did not know before I came). They were sooo diligent that my allergy was not overlooked. In the appetizers my allergy was taken out, they told me what salsas I could have and even modified my entree to be allergen friendly without my knowledge because it wasn’t listed on the ingredients. I also wanted to praise the fact that all of the staff is epi pen trained and they have epi pens on site if needed. This was not the experience I expected to have it was above expectations and set the standard for great service. Side note on the food: all of it was fresh and delicious you cannot go wrong with any of it.

Modern Mexican that actually feels fresh and interesting. I tried a couple tacos and the guac sampler — flavors were bold but balanced, nothing over-sauced. Cozy space, good energy, and plates that are fun to share. Definitely not your average taco night.

Momocho in Ohio City is a must-visit for anyone looking to go beyond standard Mexican fare with their signature "Mod Mex" approach. Located in a refurbished two-story house, the restaurant has a trendy, dimly lit atmosphere decorated with lucha libre masks. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and selections, making you feel right at home.

We split the pineapple guacamole, the barbacoa and the blue corn enchiladas. We also each had a margarita. All the dishes we tried tasted delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place!

Great spot for some modern Mexican tacos and dishes, as well as some great margaritas and drinks. Tacos are the main thing on the menu, but kind of a make your own with a bowl of meat and some sauces. There are also a couple entrees that are good as well. Everything we tasted we liked. Margaritas were delicious with lots of different flavors...loved the bell pepper one. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was buzzy and cozy, very busy on a Friday night. There are tables upstairs and down and a bar on lower level. Will definitely be back again.

This place is adjacent to perfection. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is great, and the food is even better. I ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer which was one of the best ideas ever. I also had the sashimi - the fish was as fresh as can be, and the presentation was A+. There is outdoor dining available. I will be visiting this place again when I go back to Cleveland!
